News Letter Archives - October 2007

NetServiceBooks is here to provide your service company with the tools to succeed in the modern business environment. The goal of this monthly News Letter is to bring you closer to the world of technology and how it relates to your business while keeping you informed with changes and updates to the NSB program.

What's New

Accept Credit Card Payments – NSB has joined with Approval Code (credit card merchant supplier) to bring you credit card approvals directly from the NSB program! Approval Code will take your customer's credit card directly from Accounts Receivable/Maintain Payments and process it when you save- which will bring up approved or denied as you are entering a customer's payment!
Approval Code offers very competitive rates comparable to your current merchant. To learn more about this new feature or to contact Approval Code, email Mike at mikey@netservicebooks.com.
We are currently working on building credit card acceptance into the Quick Invoice for faster Residential billing; we plan to have this feature in place by November.

Other New Updates & Changes
About the new Credit Card Feature: Unfortunately, if you are not using our merchant for credit card approval you cannot enter credit cards in Accounts Receivable, Maintain Payments. Don't worry though- if a credit card is entered in the New Payment screen, a warning will appear saying that you do not have a merchant number in the system.

Did You Know…

New Quick Invoice- we are making the Quick Invoice more flat rate friendly by collaborating with our customer's top residential technicians. Let us know if your technicians have tried using this tool and might have any ideas how we can make it better. The e-Learning for this section has been recently updated to include the latest changes; check it out! Click here: Elearn.netservicebooks.com

Quick Invoice – Do you know about the Job Cost Material List check box on the top right corner of the Quick Invoice? Well, I just learned about that one myself! Checking that box turns your invoicing tool into a neat Job Costing feature. When the Job # and Item #'s are entered on the invoice, instead of being billed to a customer they will go against the job (in Job Cost, Job Billable Materials) and relieve Inventory of the items.
